Sexual torture inflicted on father-son in TN police custody

July 02, 2020 - CRIMINAL COPS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH MURDER, AS RECOMMENDED BY DR. DIXON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, UNADAP.
In a letter to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu and subsequent telephonic discussions, Dr. Dixon, the Executive Director of UNADAP had recommended the arrests of the criminal cops, and to charge them with homicide (murder).
Inspector Sridhar, sub Inspectors Raghu Ganesh and Balakrishnan and constable Murugan have been arrested by the Crime Branch of Tamil Nadu's CID (Criminal Investigation Department) under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
"FIRs have been altered to 302 IPC. 12 special teams under IG and SP (CB-CID) are investigating all angles," Shankar, Inspector General (CB-CID) stated.
The CB-CID has modified both FIRs - one each for the death of the father, Jeyaraj, and the son, Beniks - and to include murder charges against two sub-inspectors (Raghu Ganesh and Balakrishnan), two constables and two other individuals.
The police had earlier only registered cases of suspicious deaths.

Sub Inspector Raghu Ganesh has been arrested by the Crime Branch of the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION - NHRC
has ordered the Tamilnadu DGP, IG & SP for a report.
In a complaint filed to the NHRC from Bangalore by Mr. Sureshbabu R, the NHRC has taken cognizance of the complaint upon verifying certain facts of the case.

DISGRACE TO TAMILNADU POLICE

In the first time in the history of India since 1961 when the Indian Police Act came into force, the Hon'ble Court has ordered for a police station to be TAKEN OVER, TO BE "CONTROLLED" by revenue officials.
*Points to note:*
Arun Balagopalan IPS "is brought to the compulsory wait at the office of the Director-General of Police," a Home Department order said.
The government also posted S Murugan, IG, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai as the IG, South Zone.
Meanwhile, the Tuticorin district administration on Tuesday deputed officials to take "control" of Sathankulam police station, in line with a Madras High Court directive that it be brought under the Revenue department.
Collector Sandeep Nanduri deputed a Tahsildar and a deputy Tahsildar to take "control" of the police station.
Thus far, UNADAP has had over 14,000 hits on its website and thousands of e-mails, with citizens expressing their solidarity and support to such activism.

BRUTES IN KHAKI THREATEN JUDICIAL MAGISTRATE
In a shocking report from the Judicial Magistrate, he has been threatened by the District police administration of Tuticorin.
A police constable by name, Maharajan of Santhakulam police station who was recording the court proceedings, told the court officials in Tamil, "You cannot pull even on of my pubic hairs", as if to challenge the Judicial Magistrate.

After the letter to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, by Dr. Dixon, the CM had now handed over the enquiry to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation).

The international community has taken cognizance of this heinous crime and there's an outcry. UNADAP has termed these acts as "CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY" and the Executive Director of UNADAP, Dr. Dominic Dixon has spoken to the Chief Secretary of Tamilnadu and to the Principal Secretary (Public Secretary) about the matter. Dr. Dixon has written to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu in regards to the same, seeking the appropriate action and to charge the police officers involved in the barbaric acts, with homicide and rape/ digital rape.
The jurisdiction police had filed an FIR against the victims, whilst raping and murdering them. Read the FIR here.
